The beans are up!! Three types this year.

I have decided to try three different types of beans this year. Last years Fortex produced heavily and yummily. This year I wanted to try dry beans. I know we would use more dry beans than frozen green beans. So I set up the bean pot with Fortex, Borlotti and Orca. Borlotti is a red and white dry bean and Orca is a black and white. It is also called the Yin Yang bean. Can't wait to see them.

Two beautiful beans!

Like you, I wanted more dry beans last year but they didn't crop nearly as well as fortex. So, back to the green beans for us. Good luck though, you might do much better in your climate.

Wow - 3 types! Good for you!! I need to devote more room to dried beans too. I guess I'll have to wait until next year. :)

I will post an update as to how it went. I really hope I get dry beans. They are so beautiful too. I keep things in glass jars. Wouldn't they look pretty.
