My very old wheelbarrow. Then and now.

You can only see part of it in this picture, but my yellow wheelbarrow is behind me and this is in about 1980. We had just bought our house the year before. I was about 24.

The same wheelbarrow in 2014. It is 34 years old. It is starting to wear away in places from the rust, but I don't want to replace it until I really have to. I find old things beautiful. It is wonderful to think I've been using this old friend my whole adult life. I kind of love it that it is shown here at work in the new house we bought next door. A new phase in our lives. Life is glorious.

Life is glorious, indeed, Erin! Love this posting. I like old things, too, and display some ancient tools from our farm in my potting shed. P. x

I got an antique wheel barrel from my grandparents (after my dad used it to mix cement for years). It made a lovely planter in my condo porch garden. Sadly, when I moved to an apartment style condo it had to stay. Hope its new owners appreciated it. - Margy
