A gardener's dream Christmas.

I have everything I need. I told everyone that there just isn't any material thing
that I need. After much persistance on their part, I came up with a short list of
gardening things from Lee Valley. I told them if they just got one thing, that would be plenty. I think they went out and bought everything on my list. They will be hooped next year. Now I really need...nothing.
At our house Christmas is called paper day. We fling it everywhere.
The cats love it!
Sorry about the quality of the pictures. I used Allan's camera, which obviously isn't working perfectly at the moment.

  1. At our house, the dog loves when he hears the sound of ripping paper becoming the best ripper ever!! Erin, you received some lovely gifts, and I know that because I received some of those lovely gifts in years past. You will Love your Haws and herb markers.

  2. What a nice collection of "things". I'm sure they will give you much pleasure in the years to come.
I envy you the cats most though. We used to enjoy watching them play with the Christmas wrapping-paper (and boxes!) just like you.

  3. Thanks Brenda. I love the markers. They are lovely, I really wanted something durable so that Allan could identify herbs even in the winter. I have an old haws that is huge and heavy. It's perfect for watering in the yard, but I knew it would be too heavy for holding up over the seedling trays in the spring, so I needed a smaller one make of plastic for that!!! Yayyy.
Do you not have cats anymore Mark? It really is fun watching them on paper day. I've left a bunch of chairs in a row and they are running up and down the row of chairs with their tails swooshing. I just love animals. I am so lucky.

  5. Thanks Holley. Aren't I lucky. Those were a gift from my sister. I really wanted durable permanent markers for the most common herbs. W can pick herbs here year round. My husband likes to cook with herbs, but doesn't know which are which. I think all plants look the same to him. :-). So now he doesn't need to guess.
