And to think we don’t usually get snow on Vancouver Island

Snow almost filling up our deck

Snow half way up the greenhouse and almost burying my blueberry bushes

Backyard and gardens buried

The fence over on the right back is five feet tall

We had robins in the willow all week.
They were feasting on our holly berries the whole time

The street before it got really bad

Early on in the snowfall through my kitchen window

Everything looks so nice in that blanket of white. Did you notice the muffled stillness? Don't worry about your plants too much. A blanket of snow is much better than cold uncovered plants. Next July you can look back on this post and remember how cool it really was!

Hi Becky. It was incredible. Yes to the muffled stillness. It was absolutely silent. Incredible. It is melting fast, but we still have about a foot of snow. Starting to see bulbs where the snow has melted along the house. They are a bit squished, but look fine otherwise. I have a few broken blueberry branches, but all in all I’m pretty happy with how it looks.
