Like...sometimes gardening can be a really painful thing...well, so I've heard

You know how sometimes...you bend over and do a bunch of deadheading...but you're like all leaning and stretching...and the backs of your legs kind of hurt a bit...and then its like...I'll just gouge out these peony's and then I'll stop...and then much later you go in the house a bit stiff...and then the next day...you get up like...and ouch...that hurts...walk it off...and then you go to your store to work...and like Christmas orders come in...so then you're bending into boxes...and your seized muscles are screamin'...and the pain is right up there near a ten...Huh?...What?...No?...
Nah, me either...

Ouch! Re wind power: If you live in the suburbs this might not work....http://australia.windspot.es/small-wind-turbine...it is also Australian. But, I am sure there are options over your way. With the solar here, the government wanted people to install panels so there was a rebate to assist with the purchase and installation. The state government wanted to encourage it too...so they made a law that the electrical companies pay 61 cents for every kW hour we produce (it costs about 19 - 21 cents per kW hour to buy electricity here). so for a while here, it was a viable option. However, the federal government pulled the rebate and the the state government (a new conservative one) has drastically reduced the feed in tariff. We were lucky and got both...just! It is sad, because most of the power in our state is made using brown coal...a dirtier fuel you couldn't find. Oh, but now we have a carbon tax...I just wish they would get their act together and take an integrated approach.

Hi Jane....ouch. I feel your pain sister. No I really do. Every muscle between by knees and the top of my...ummm...backside are pretty seized. Good luck at chiro.
Hazel!!! Hi.I am going in to read about turbines when I finish here. There is q show called Life with Ed I think. It is Ed Begley Jr and his quest for a green clean planet and home. His wife likes things to be pretty, so it's a really interesting dynamic. But there are a lot of of great ideas. He installed a wind turbine.
I remember the episode where he bought a water barrel. I think it was bright blue. I said to Allan...don't get any ideas..that is NOT happening. So a couple months ago we saw a bunch of water barrels out front of a plastic store. I said..ooooooooooooh I want one of those for Christmas. Allan laughed and said, okay what have you done with my wife, who are you? Now I'm reserching how to ook them together so you can have several. What the heck is happening to me!?

It's amazing how gardening looks so restful, but in reality, it's hard work!!!

Oh that made me laugh!! Yes..I know all about it; do be careful. A year here in recovery from frozen shoulder and two bad wrists as a result of overworking muscles. Be careful!! Take time to stretch and be good to your body!

We all make it look so easy. We got three boxes of Christmas stuff today and we bought lots of stones and crystals that we are now pricing. Lots of bending and lifting. Still feelin the burn. Funny though, Every time my muscles seize, I am reminded of the beset day in the garden. How lucky are we all?!
