Not too much to report on the gardening front. I have ripped out a couple more plants. Two day lilies have met their maker. I just didn't love them. There is that veggie gardener coming through again. You cannot give something space, when space is limited, to something that you don't love. The delphiniums have a nice new space.
I ripped out one squash and one zucchini. They were kind of pale and not producing, so I thought, let's let the others have the nutrients these guys are using.
Then I tied up the garlic to hang in the shed.
I coughed throughout this exercise. So much so that I gave up and just retired to my ugly chair and there I remain.
Thursday update:
I feel a lot better today. I am still sick, but like normal sick, not "Oh my god, kill me now sick". Watched Contagion yesterday. Related to the Gwyneth Paltrow character.

Hi Erin; Sorry to hear you are unwell. I hope you get over it soon.
I'm a bit disturbed by all the references I see in your last few posts about "Ripping things out"! I hope this is just a figure of speech - and that new things are going in to replace the ones that came out. I know that you have to feel some enthusiasm for a plant before it becomes worth growing it. This is why I find growing veg so rewarding: the fact that you can eat the end result gives the whole thing an extra dimension.
No I've literally been ripping things out. It's been awesome. I could never tear anything out. It was a growing thing. Now because of veg gardening, I need to love it, or eat it, or out it comes to make room for something I love. Or love to eat. :-)
I hope you make a full recovery, Erin, very soon! I have to be much stronger about ripping things out. I must admit, sometimes I want to rip it all out and start over. But I am reworking some beds a little at a time. P. x
I know exactly how you feel Pam. I would love to bring in a huge rototiller and start over too. But as you say, one bed at a time.
Hope you are on the mend!! Mind the back!! Take care.
Erin, hope you feel better soon!
I am feeling much better. A bit of cough left but that's about it. I got over it very quickly. Now, back to gardening!!
